Data Deletion

1If you are a seller

You can ask us to delete your kodo account and the personal information associated with it. Email dev@tensholabs.com from the email address on your kodo account, and include:

• your store name and account email; and
• confirmation that you want your account and data deleted.

Please note that deleting your account removes your store and its data, including your customers' records held in your account. If you only want to remove specific information, tell us what, and we will help.

2If you are a customer of a kodo store

When you buy from or message a store built on kodo, your information belongs to that seller's business — the seller is the controller of your data, and kodo stores it on their behalf. You have two options:

• Contact the seller directly and ask them to delete your information; or
• Contact us at dev@tensholabs.com and we will delete the information we hold and/or pass your request to the relevant seller.

To help us find your records, please include details such as the store you ordered from, the phone number, Instagram handle or email you used, and any order reference.

3Data from WhatsApp and Instagram

If a seller connected a WhatsApp or Instagram account, kodo may hold messages, your profile name and identifier (phone number or Instagram handle), and media you sent. You can ask us to delete this information using the same request above, and we will remove it from kodo, subject to the retention exceptions below.

4What happens, and when

Acknowledgement

We confirm we received your request within 7 days.

Deletion

We delete or anonymise the relevant personal information within 30 days.

Backups

Residual copies in encrypted backups are removed within 90 days.

5What we may need to keep

We may retain certain information where the law requires it — for example transaction, accounting and tax records — or where we need it to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements. We keep only what is necessary, for only as long as necessary, and then delete it.
